1. Order Cancellations

  • You may cancel an order anytime before it ships for a full refund.

  • Once your order is in transit, cancellations are no longer possible.

  • To request cancellation, please contact hello@thesunopy.com promptly.


2. Shipping Areas & Restrictions

  • We ship only within the contiguous United States.

  • Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, and international locations is not available at this time.

  • Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address and a daytime phone number.

  • Orders with incorrect or incomplete addresses may be returned; reshipment requires an additional shipping fee.


3. Processing & Shipping Times

  • Orders placed before 2:00 PM Pacific Time on business days typically ship the same day. Orders after 2:00 PM or on weekends/holidays ship next business day.

  • Shipping times generally range from 3 to 7 business days for delivery within the continental US.

  • Delays may occur due to carrier issues, weather, holidays, or product availability.


4. Shipping Costs

  • Shipping fees are calculated based on order size, weight, and destination, and displayed at checkout.

  • You are responsible for any applicable taxes, customs, or import fees.


5. Order Tracking

  • Upon shipment, you will receive an email with tracking information.

  • Please monitor your email (including spam/junk folders) for shipping updates.


6. Return Eligibility

  • Eligible returns must be initiated within 30 days of delivery.

  • Products must be unused, uninstalled, in original packaging, and include all accessories and documentation.

  • Proof of purchase required.


7. Non-Refundable Items

The following products are non-refundable and cannot be returned or exchanged unless defective or damaged:

  • Custom or personalized products.

  • Clearance or final‑sale items.

  • Used or installed solar equipment or components.

  • Products missing original packaging, manuals, or accessories.

  • Any product damaged by customer misuse or improper installation.


8. Return Process

  • Contact hello@thesunopy.com to request a return.

  • You may receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and instructions.

  • Customers typically pay return shipping unless the return is due to our error (damaged or incorrect product).


9. Refunds

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection of returned products.

  • Refunds take up to 10 business days after receipt and inspection.

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable except for returns due to our error.

  • A restocking fee up to 20% may apply if returned items are damaged or not in original condition.


10. Damaged or Defective Products

  • Report damaged or defective products within 7 days of delivery to hello@thesunopy.com.

  • Verified defective items will be replaced or refunded at no charge.


11. Exchanges

  • We do not offer direct exchanges. Please return your product per this policy and place a new order.
